Koni Marti e5ad877af5 msgstore: fetch missing headers in visual mode
fetches missing headers when in visual selection mode. This prevents
large archive operations from panicking due to a nil pointer
dereference.

The archive command will return an error to the ui when a nil message is
encountered to signal that the message store is not ready yet.

Koni Marti b19b844a63 pgp: PGP/MIME encryption for outgoing emails
implements PGP/MIME encryption with go-pgpmail. The Encrypt() function of
go-pgpmail requires a list of public keys which are taken from the
keystore. The keystore is searched for the email addresses of all
recipients (to, cc, and bcc).
If you want to be able to read the encrypted email afterwards, add
yourself as a recipient in either to, cc, or bcc as well.

Public keys can be exported from gpg into aerc as follows:
$ gpg --export  >> ~/.local/share/aerc/keyring.asc

When composing a message, the encryption is enabled with the
":encrypt" command. This sets a bool flag in the Composer struct.
A reapted application of this command will toggle the flag.
The encrypted message can also be signed by using the ":sign"
command before or after ":encrypt".

Koni Marti 69d4e3895f pgp: PGP/MIME signing for outgoing emails
implements PGP/MIME signing with go-pgpmail. The Sign() function of
go-pgpmail requires a private (signing) key. The signing key which matches
the senders email address (from field in email header) is looked up
in aerc's copy of the keyring.

Private keys can be exported from gpg into aerc as follows:
$ gpg --export-secret-keys  >> ~/.local/share/aerc/keyring.asc

A message is signed with the ":sign" command. The sign command sets
a bool flag in the Composer struct. Using the command repeatedly will
toggle the flag.

Reto Brunner 20ec2c8eeb compose: use a proper header instead of a string map
Prior to this commit, the composer was based on a map[string]string.
While this approach was very versatile, it lead to a constant encoding / decoding

This commit switches to a different model, where the composer is based on a header.
Commands which want to interact with it can simply set some defaults they would
like to have. Users can overwrite them however they like.

In order to get access to the functions generating / getting the msgid go-message
was upgraded.

Reto Brunner c846307144 base models.Address on the mail.Address type
This allows us to hook into the std libs implementation of parsing related stuff.
For this, we need to get rid of the distinction between a mailbox and a host
to just a single "address" field.

However this is already the common case. All but one users immediately
concatenated the mbox/domain to a single address.

So this in effects makes it simpler for most cases and we simply do the
transformation in the special case.

Reto Brunner f1a0fd20d6 improve date parsing for notmuch/maildir
If a message date would fail to parse, the worker would never receive
the MessageInfo it asked for, and so it wouldn't display the message.

The problem is the spec for date formats is too lax, so trying to ensure
we can parse every weird date format out there is not a strategy we want
to pursue. On the other hand, preventing the user from reading and
working with a message due to the error format is also not a solution.

The maildir and notmuch workers will now fallback to the internal date, which
is based on the received header if we can't parse the format of the Date header.

The UI will also fallback to the received header whenever the date header can't
be parsed.

This patch is based on the work done by Lyudmil Angelov <lyudmilangelov@gmail.com>
But tries to handle a parsing error a bit more gracefully instead of just returning
the zero date.

ARaspiK 0535f6333f Add additional flagging functionality

This functionality is implemented with a new `:flag` and `:unflag`

If the message doesn't contain ':', we don't properly discard the
message, so we end up slicing it like msg[:-1].

This can be reproduced if one runs 'aerc foo', as the server receives
'foo' as the message.

'aerc foo' still doesn't do anything very user friendly, but at least it
doesn't panic horribly.

While at it, do the 'got message' log at the very beginning, so that the
user can see what message the server got before reporting the command as
invalid.

Before, pressing <Enter> when completions were visible would execute the

Previously, this would have selected the first folder in the list. Now,
since <Tab>, <C-n>, etc have not been pressed to select the first
completion, the command above simply executes `:cf `.

To accomplish this, a "no-op completion" has been added at index -1.

Ben Burwell 7160f98a90 Show textinput completions in popovers
Rather than showing completions inline in the text input, show them in a
popover which can be scrolled by repeatedly pressing the tab key. The
selected completion can be executed by pressing enter.
2019-12-21 09:23:21 -05:00
Ben Burwell bcd03c4c4a Add popovers
A popover is a special UI element which can be layered over the rest of
the UI (i.e. it is painted last) and can fall anywhere on the screen,
not just with the bounds of its parent's viewport/context. With these
special abilities comes the restriction that only one popover may be
visible on screen at once.

Popovers are requested from the UI context passed to Draw calls and
specify the anchor point and the desired dimensions. The popover is then
fit to the available space and placed relative to the anchor point.

Kiril Vladimiroff d9a0522780 Break early when delete happens in outdated state
A panic could happen when multiple delete messages are sent one after
another without waiting until there are no messages left to be deleted:

panic: runtime error: makeslice: len out of range

	goroutine 1 [running]:
	git.sr.ht/~sircmpwn/aerc/lib.(*MessageStore).Update(0xc000592e00, 0xa8fe60, 0xc0003340f0)
		/go/src/git.sr.ht/~sircmpwn/aerc/lib/msgstore.go:222 +0x5b8
	git.sr.ht/~sircmpwn/aerc/widgets.(*AccountView).onMessage(0xc0000a0460, 0xa8fe60, 0xc0003340f0)
		/go/src/git.sr.ht/~sircmpwn/aerc/widgets/account.go:251 +0x307
	git.sr.ht/~sircmpwn/aerc/widgets.(*AccountView).Tick(0xc0000a0460, 0xc0001496b0)
		/go/src/git.sr.ht/~sircmpwn/aerc/widgets/account.go:90 +0xa1
	git.sr.ht/~sircmpwn/aerc/widgets.(*Aerc).Tick(0xc0000a9f40, 0xc000020501)
		/go/src/git.sr.ht/~sircmpwn/aerc/widgets/aerc.go:123 +0x91
	main.main()
		/go/src/git.sr.ht/~sircmpwn/aerc/aerc.go:182 +0x5bf

The make that blows up is:

	uids := make([]uint32, len(store.uids)-len(msg.Uids))

This change simply checks whether the make is going to be valid before
starting to work on the actual delete. If there are more messages queued
to be deleted than what's left in the store, then we're obviously in an
inconsistent state, ask for an update and break.

Greg Anders 4bdef7d860 Add UI options to save/pipe messages with unsupported mimetypes
Adds a message indicating the user's ability to :save or :pipe a message
with an unsupported mimetype and also adds a selector widget (similar to
the tutorial).

The selector widget was previously defined in the account wizard module,
so this commit breaks it out into its own module to allow for re-use.

Further, modify the BeginExLine() function to take an argument that
pre-populates the command line, allowing functions to initiate an ex
command without executing it.

Closes #95.

Jeffas 03d182ca88 Fix tab refocus on remove
Previously removing a tab would always pop from the history of tabs.
This checks to see if the closing tab is the one selected, if it is then
we use the history, otherwise we only need to change the selected tab if
it was after (to the right of) the closing tab, in which case we just
decrement the selected index.

Heiko Carrasco 70c16fc346 Print success to socket if no error was thrown
When Reto Brunners patch is applied (which works really well for me), the user gets to see the message

prints "result: <nil>" to the cmd. This patch fixes that by just
returning success instead of the error message when err != nil.
